Sunday 4th August: Teignbridge canoe Club “Eco” Paddle

Adrian came up with the great idea for this Sunday’s paddle

“This Sunday’s paddle is focused on collecting plastics and litter from our home estuary – the Teign.

The idea was sparked by a paddle down the Dart last year when I removed this load of rubbish! Hoping you can support the paddle.”

Meeting point: Teignbridge Canoe Club House, Teignmouth

Time: 09:30am
On the water: 09:45am

Club boats can be hired in the usual way. Please book out with Craig.

We will paddling up the estuary along the back beach paddling up as far as the tide will allow.
Drifting back with the outgoing tide…..stopping at the Clipper Cafe, Shaldon for a coffee/lunch (you can bring your own pack lunches to eat on the beach)
Aiming to back at the club house for approximately 2pm… I think!

We will aim to pick up marine litter, and create some visibility of our activity along the way.

Please bring your own gloves for picking up the litter.

This paddle helps us a club take some responsibility for own river and may give us a nice press opportunity… if we find some rubbish.

It would be great to see you there.
